President's Message

Dear Old Royalists of Group of 2000,

The upcoming year in my opinion will be a decisive one; one that would establish whether our batch will have the determination and the commitment to take us to the next level. As we all witnessed, our participation at this year’s AGM was weak, but on a positive note we can be happy that those who attended the event were motivated and full of energy. They have the dedication and the will to move forward, which we are looking for from our colleagues. It is essential that we harness this positive energy and spread it within the spectrum of our batch mates.

I am certain that our newly appointed committee has the perseverance and dedication to make the 2000 batch one of the most prominent batches Royal has ever seen. New faces and new blood is always a good thing and we will work as a team to accomplish the upcoming tasks we have been given in trust, by our colleagues.

We are privileged to have a terrific executive team made up of Vice President Nilusha Abeynayake, Secretary Chaman Ippalawatte, Treasurer Ahamed Aslam and Web Admins Ruwan Jayaweera and Shashimal Gunawardana.

The batch is in good financial position and we have a great platform to add some exciting new resources for our group. We have a couple of projects and initiatives we are planning for the upcoming year and would need all the financial support we can get, but rupees alone will not cut it. We need each and everyone’s total participation, support, and commitment to see that all our targets attain fruition.    

So friends, as devoted old Royalists that we all are, with an unending desire to elevate our school and batch to greater heights in all spheres of performance, I sincerely hope that you will have the time, and the patience to lend the committee a helping hand and contribute your valuable assistance to see our endeavour a success.
